Introduction

Occurs in all species in the recent hatchling.

Signs

  • Legs splay and chick is unable to stand.

Post-mortem lesions

  • Gross lesions are not usually evident.

Diagnosis

Clinical signs.

Treatment

None.

Prevention

All measures that improve chick vitality at hatching are beneficial in reducing this problem.
